Obama, Clinton Promote Gay Rights Over Religious Liberty

In my work as the Executive Director of the Indiana Pastors Alliance, I have been traveling across Indiana warning pastors and Christians alike of the serious and unprecedented threat to religious liberty we are currently facing with the push for same-sex marriage in America. The question before us is very clear: “Will we honor the unalienable right to religious liberty, a right that is the cornerstone of all the other freedoms we enjoy as Americans, or will we allow the push for unfettered sexual expression to prevail, no matter how bizarre, twisted or perverse that behavior may be.

For the Obama regime, this question is a no-brainer. Our Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has been irritating nations across the globe on her crusade as the homosexual rights high priestess. In a recent speech to the United Nations, Clinton highlighted the problem of “religious and cultural beliefs…standing in the way of homosexual human rights worldwide.” On the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a day historically devoted to the defense of traditional human rights such as the sanctity of life and religious liberty, our Secretary of State used her bully pulpit to shame countries who oppose homosexuality because of their commitment to biblical values.

This should be cause for great alarm for all Christians. When religious liberty comes into conflict with the radical agenda of the LGBT activists you can be assured of one thing: religious liberty will lose, at least as long as the Obama administration is in power.

Our Founding Fathers had a word for this: TYRANNY. While we stand against the mistreatment of those who are struggling with the sin of homosexuality and believe they should be equally protected under the law as citizens of the United States of America, we nonetheless, reject the administration’s misguided attempts to normalize a lifestyle which God calls perverse.

It is so sad to continue to see this administration reduce the value of life and marriage as if they know much better what people should and should not accept. It is even more disappointing that the body of Christ – all denominations, fellow Christians, have not raised an uproar of rejection to these unholy alliances and had their voices heard. We out number the very people who are trying to make these decisions.
