The Bible tells us that God’s people are often destroyed because of their lack of knowledge. Specifically, He is referring to the casual disregard for His revealed law:

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children. (Hosea 4:6)

Notice the end of this verse. When one generation rejects God’s truth, the next generation picks up the bill.

Our nation is paying the price for an overt rejection of God in our public life. The First Amendment has suffered violence at the hands of godless judges. The phrase “separation of church and state” is currently used by those who are hostile to God and His Law to remove Christianity from any form of public expression. The public schools, in particular, have been the main target of this secular purge. The consequences have been deadly.

Living Stones is a “Kingdom” church. This means we believe God has given us a mandate to reform all spheres of society by bring the principles of God’s kingdom to bear on human problems. This mandate most certainly includes the realm of civil government.

Our goal in this course is to explore the proper relationship between God and the State using the Scriptures as our starting point.

My hope is that each of you will have a clearer understanding of the vital role you play, as disciples of Christ, in impacting this vitally important institution.

The course will meet during the month of August on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30 in Room #14 at the Crown Point Campus.
